Notes From The Road - Airbnb

Greetings fellow travelers! Recently Airbnb announced a change in their surveillance camera policy. Now, Airbnb hosts are no longer permitted to place cameras anywhere inside their Airbnb. They can still have exterior cameras, but not inside. They are still permitted to have decibel sensors that can detect large noises. These devices are used to help owners enforce their “no loud parties” policies. But you see, this is yet another reason why I rarely stay at an Airbnb. I rarely am concerned about a visible or hidden camera in my Hilton or Marriott hotel room. Loud parties at hotels are shut down ASAP because hotel employees work on site 24/7. Safety, security, convenience and comfort. This is just the top of my list of concerns when I’m booking a place to stay for work or for vacation with my family. Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you in line at security!
