Serving up their first batch of seasonal songs since 2009’s Christ Is Come, Big Daddy Weave delivers a festive EP, fit for celebration, on It’s Time For Christmas. The five-song collection boasts four classic covers, as well as the original title cut chock-full of the kind of nostalgia and pop culture references that make this time of year so anticipated. From a fun mash-up of familiar favorites on “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like a Christmas Medley” to the warm glow of “The Christmas Song,” Big Daddy Weave offers an enthusiastic round of holiday cheer.

In support of the project, the award-winning group recently announced the “It’s Time For Christmas Tour.” Visiting eight cities across the Southeast this December, the trek will spotlight seasonal selections alongside powerful worship moments from their extensive catalog. Labelmate Hannah Kerr will join them for the outing. Prior to the holiday run, Big Daddy Weave will wrap their “My Hope Is Jesus Tour,” alongside emerging artists Caleb & John and Carly Ann Taylor. With seven dates remaining, the tour continues tonight in Littleton, N.C.

In the meantime, fans can catch a glimpse of Big Daddy Weave’s engaging live show across the band’s “Live Sessions,” an original YouTube series that captures the collective recording select songs at Curb Studios on Music Row in Nashville. The five-piece recently put their stamp on Elevation Worship’s “I Know A Name,” with Kerr adding additional vocals. Moreover, they’ve also recorded live iterations of “My Hope Is Jesus” from their latest LP, Let It Begin; and “Never Goin’ Back,” a deep cut from their 2022 major label debut, One and Only. More “Live Sessions” will be unveiled from now through the end of the year.
