Jennie Allen on Gather25, the Global Revival, and Gen Z’s Spiritual Awakening

Bestselling author and speaker Jennie Allen says she once had a dream in which Jesus came back but that, in her words, the world wasn't ready. It wasn't a pleasant dream, she says because so many remained lost without Christ. Allen woke up with a vision for a gathering of Christians from every continent to pray, worship and proclaim the name of Jesus. 

On Feb. 28, that worldwide assembly will unfold in Gather25, a 25-hour global broadcast where Christians from more than 10,000 locations across 183 countries will gather online for what is being billed as an epic gathering of the global church. In the United States, it will launch at 8 Eastern that day. It will be broadcast online through the Gather25.com website but also on TBN and the YouVersion Bible app. 

"It's just going to give you so much hope," Allen told Crosswalk Headlines, noting that "2.5 billion people say they are Christians."

"We're inviting all of them to come together," she said. "Our ultimate goal is that everybody, everywhere would know Jesus and know the gospel, and that out of this event, they will live more on mission."

The Gather25 broadcast will include Priscilla Shirer, John Mark Comer, Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes, Lui Ponifasio, Christine Caine, Sadie Robertson, Tim Godfrey, Louie Giglio, Matt Redman, and Darlene Zschech, among others.
