Captain America.

On the big screen, he is best known for playing Captain America in the Marvel films but offscreen, actor Chris Evans is frustrated with our country's president. In a recent interview with Esquire, the actor spoke out about his feelings about President Donald Trump.

"I feel rage," he noted in the interview. He went on to note that "People were just so desperate to hear someone say that someone is to blame... They just want something new without actually understanding."

The actor's political beliefs and his support for the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton are well-known. After the presidential results came pouring in election night, he even tweeted that "This is an embarrassing night for America. We've let a hatemonger lead our great nation."

Despite his feelings about the president, the actor has some reservations about sounding off too strongly against Trump supporters. In the Esquire interview, he went on to note that instead of yelling, "it's time for calm." He added, "[N]ot everyone who voted for Trump is going to be some horrible bigot. There are a lot of people in that middle; those are the people you can't lose your credibility with. If you're trying to change minds, by spewing too much rhetoric you can easily become white noise."

Evans' new movie Gifted is set to arrive in thaters on April 7th.
