Virginia Santa Claus Gives Kidney to Special Resident in Need

@12onyourside

Within the walls of the Virginia Transplant Center at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, Dave Bell shows off one of the many hats he wears as he helps Santa Claus in the North Pole. “It’s giving children an outlet and making them feel loved and accepted,” he said. A mission Saint Nick’s sidekick takes to heart as he shares Christmas cheer with kids all across Central Virginia. “If we all made the world a better place, what kind of place would this be,” said Bell. “This gives me the opportunity to do that in a very small way.” This motto inspired the Powhatan man to make an early Christmas miracle happen by donating a kidney to a stranger in need.
