Michael Sarver sits down with GodTube Music at the historic Castle Studio just south of Nashville to talk about his journey from American Idol to country music and now fully embracing his calling as a Christian artist.

In this heartfelt conversation, Michael opens up about his current single “More Like You,” a song that challenges believers to move beyond surface-level faith and truly reflect the heart of Jesus. He shares how the song became a personal testimony, why he hopes it encourages boldness in others, and what it means to represent Christ with love, truth, and grace.

Michael also reflects on his time as a Top 10 finalist on Season 8 of American Idol, including a powerful story about Paula Abdul helping him reconnect with his wife and daughter during a difficult moment on the show. He looks back on the years that followed, his country music career, the toll of constant touring, and how God eventually led him back to worship ministry and into a new season of purpose-driven Christian music.

With new music on the way, Michael shares what God is doing in his life now and why this chapter feels different than anything he has done before.
